7:00 PM CDT - 9:00 PM CDT
We will work with tools, supplies and fabrics from BASE to patch holes, repair torn seams, replace missing buttons, shorten garments, replace broken zippers, take in or let out garments, or even add pockets! Attendees should bring items of clothing or other fabric items that need repair, or that they would like to alter in some way.
Since everyone's project will be unique, we will first look at what you've brought to come up with a plan to accomplish your goals. Depending on your project and skill level, we may focus on hand sewing, patching, visible mending, or machine sewing. Not all garments can be repaired or altered, but we will do our best to try! All levels of experience are welcome - we are happy to teach you how to do it yourself!
Create & Sip classes are fun, easy going events. Bring some friends, some snacks and bring your imagination! No Experience necessary, all skill levels welcome. Each person’s project will be unique – creativity is highly encouraged! We will be working with materials and tools from BASE, our Creative Reuse Center, which will include a combination of reclaimed, repurposed, and new materials.
$20/person. Registration Required. BYOB.
