Behind the Scenes of Third Coast Disrupted
A six-foot-tall, walk-in monarch butterfly chrysalis, lit by black light. A collage incorporating mold spores (safely). A video with a 1920s folk song covered by the Grateful Dead. These are among the artworks of Third Coast Disrupted: Artists + Scientists on Climate. Experience them on a free curator’s tour August 15 and 22 – the show’s last day. Don’t miss seeing this innovative art-science collaboration!
Christine Esposito is Project Director and Lead Curator of Third Coast Disrupted: Artists + Scientists on Climate and is the driving force behind creation of the exhibition. She is also Founder of Terracom, an award-winning, 30-year-old environmental communications firm, and Terracom’s Ex.Change Project, which convenes partners to develop art-science initiatives that spur awareness and action on critical environmental issues. The arts permeate Christine’s background, which includes Bachelor of Music and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees.
