Queer Ecology "Out & About" Walk at Waukegan Beach

Join Brushwood Center and the LGBTQ Center of Lake County for a nature walk specifically for the queer community! We will explore Waukegan Beach, look for the birds that call the lakefront home with birder Daniela Herrera (@Latina.Birder on Instagram), and learn about shorebird conservation efforts from folks at Sharing Our Shores Waukegan. This leisurely-paced nature walk is free of charge, but please be sure to RSVP so we know how many to expect. Families and children are welcome, but please keep fur-babies at home for this one (no dogs allowed on the beach).
